What Does Levy Nine Mean? 

It's a question we've been asked many times, so let us explain the meaning of our name. 

Levy Nine is the condensed name of a comet that was officially called Shoemaker Levy Nine and was discovered by Carol Shoemaker and David Levy in the year 1993.

What made this discovery so interesting was the fact that this comet was on a direct collision course with the planet Jupiter, and for the first time in modern history, we would have a real understanding of what happens when comets collide with planets.

This impact was a significant awe inspiring event, that fascinated and informed humanity about certain truths which had previously only  been speculated on or dreamed about in the past.

Needless to say it was an eye opening event for humanity making a huge impact on the planet Jupiter, and on the the founder of our company, which inspired the company name.
